Safaricom, Citizen TV et Goodlife parmi les lauréats des World Branding Awards 2023 – 2024

La 17e édition des World Branding Awards met à l’honneur le succès et réalisations des plus grandes marques du monde en tant que lauréats au niveau national, régional et mondial. Les 2023 – 2024 World Branding Awards ont distingué plus de 1 500 marques originaires de quelque 40 pays candidates à l’élection de la « Marque de l’année ». Un peu moins de 200 d’entre elles ont décroché la victoire.

La prestigieuse cérémonie de remise des prix se tenait au palais de Kensington, au Royaume-Uni. Plus de 100 invités du monde entier y ont assisté, avec pour animateur le célèbre présentateur de télévision David Croft.

Parmi les lauréats mondiaux ayant fait preuve d’excellence et d’une image de marque irréprochable dans leur secteur, citons Yakult (Japon), CoCo (Taïwan), LURPAK (Danemark), Marriott International (États-Unis) et The Body Shop (Royaume-Uni).

Les lauréats kenyans sont notamment Citizen TV, Goodlife, Safaricom et Java House. Nando’s (Afrique du Sud), Damas Jewellery (Émirats arabes unis), Proper Snacks (Royaume-Uni), VISTRA (Thaïlande), Pertamina (Indonésie), Macao Imperial Tea (Philippines), M-150 (Thaïlande), Airland (Hong Kong), Getha (Malaisie) et Absolut (Suède), pour n’en citer que quelques-uns, ont également été récompensés sur la scène nationale.

Cette année, seules 14 marques étaient sélectionnées pour le prix « Regional Tier », dont Nippon Rent-A-Car (Japon), GIG (Koweït), MR.DIY (Malaisie), M-150 (Thaïlande), HECOM (Hong Kong) et VITADAY (Thaïlande). Ces marques ont recueilli la préférence des consommateurs dans 4 pays ou plus, dans 3 zones ou plus d’une région géographique spécifique.

« Nous célébrerons ainsi les efforts incessants nécessaires à la création de marques exceptionnelles. Pour garder leur pertinence, les marques doivent construire une image percutante et durable. Cela implique non seulement de créer une culture et une communauté autour de la marque à travers le marketing, mais aussi de s’assurer que toutes les générations continuent à trouver la marque intéressante », a déclaré M. Richard Rowles, président du World Branding Forum.

Plus de 150 000 consommateurs ont participé aux nominations à travers le monde cette année. En moyenne, seules cinq marques sont récompensées dans chaque pays, confirmant le caractère exceptionnel d’une victoire au World Branding Award.

The 17th edition of the World Branding Awards honoured the success and achievements of some of the World’s Best Brands as National, Regional, and Global Winners. The 2023 – 2024 World Branding Awards saw over 1,500 brands from more than 40 countries nominated as “Brand of the Year”. Of these, less than 200 were declared Winners.

The prestigious Award Ceremony was held at the home of the awards, Kensington Palace, United Kingdom. It welcomed over 100 guests worldwide and was hosted by acclaimed television presenter, David Croft.

Global winners who proved excellence and impeccable branding in their industry include Yakult (Japan), CoCo (Taiwan), LURPAK (Denmark), Marriott International (USA), and The Body Shop (United Kingdom).

Winners from Kenya include Citizen TV, Goodlife, Safaricom, and Java House. Other National tier winners include Nando’s (South Africa), Damas Jewellery (UAE), Proper Snacks (United Kingdom), VISTRA (Thailand), Pertamina (Indonesia), Macao Imperial Tea (The Philippines), M-150 (Thailand), Airland (Hong Kong), Getha (Malaysia), and Absolut (Sweden), to name a few.

Only 14 brands were selected to receive the Regional Tier award this year, including Nippon Rent-A-Car (Japan), GIG (Kuwait), MR.DIY (Malaysia), M-150 (Thailand), HECOM (Hong Kong), and VITADAY (Thailand). These brands were voted as consumers’ favourites in 4 or more countries across 3 or more areas in a specific geographic region.

“This is a celebration of the continuous efforts that is vital to building outstanding brands. To stay relevant as a brand, brands must build an image that resonates and lasts. This means not only building up a culture and community around the brand through marketing, but also ensuring that all generations continue to find the brand interesting,” said Mr. Richard Rowles, Chairman of the World Branding Forum.

More than 150,000 consumers participated in the nomination process globally this year. On average, there are only 5 winning brands in each country, proving that winning a World Branding Award is a remarkable accomplishment.
