[Document] Consumer Price Index for October 2024

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.3 point or 0.3% from 103.4 in September 2024 to 103.7 in October 2024.

Year-on-year (Y-o-y) inflation worked out to 3.4% in October 2024, compared to 4.6% in October 2023. Headline inflation for the 12-months ending October 2024 worked out to 3.7%, compared to 8.4% for the 12-months ending October 2023.

Y-o-y CORE1 inflation stood at 2.5% in October 2024, compared to 3.2% in October 2023 while, y-o-y CORE2 inflation worked out to 4.3% in October 2024, compared to 4.0% in October 2023.

CORE1 inflation for the 12-months ending October 2024 stood at 2.1%, compared to 6.3% in October 2023. Similarly, CORE2 inflation for the 12-months ending October 2024 worked out to 3.5%, compared to 5.8% in October 2023.
