A Christmas Fair promote Women entrepreneur

Indeed we have a diverse, talented pool of Women Entrepreneur’s promoting and selling their products at this fair, Unity in our Diversity because we are women from various walks of life who have cone together to support each other Both, Time Banking Association and Al Shaams Women’s Association collaborate in various projects together. We are all unique from divers backgrounds but we come together with a common goal.

Empowering Women and the youth across the island. Especially Women Entrepreneurship, the venue is sponsored by the Rawat family and participants are from across the island with their own special business to promote and products to sell. Unity in our Diversity

We keep trying to inculcate the idea of collaboration not competition
To be invited to sell their products at the same fair, they must all collaborate, otherwise it doesn’t work, I mean competition does not create the right atmosphere.

As an entrepreneur only compete with yourself to be the best you can, produce the best products, provide the best service. Ensure your clients and customers are happy

A variety of stands are allocated to the participants
Be it recycled products, crochet products, clothing, artisan, foods, everything with a Christmas theme
This time around we are also encouraging women entrepreneurs offering specific services to be amongst us and share their various expertise

The main objectives of the Fair are to:
Enable women entrepreneurs to market and sell their products directly,
Provide a platform for potential buyers and sellers to meet,
Allow participants to generate additional orders,
Enhance visibility of women-owned enterprises , and
Promote the services offered to empower women economically.

Women entrepreneurs have had to become creative, they have had to diversify in their products and services not only to survive but to become resilient in today’s volotile markets.

Mauritius is a small market in itself, so entrepreneurs need to explore other markets be it through fairs, the tourism industry i.e. hotel outlets or preparing themselves and taking advantage of Government incentives such as training to become export ready and this enables them to look further afield for clients etc.
