
Polytechnics Mauritius has taken cognisance of the recent article published by an online media channel on Tuesday 03rd December 2024 and Sunday 15th December 2024, containing serious accusations and defamatory messages against the educational institution and individuals within the higher management.
Such actions are deeply concerning, as they not only target the reputation of the individuals involved but also undermine Polytechnics Mauritius professional integrity and values. We take these allegations very seriously as we consider this as a cybercrime that is punishable by law.
These defamatory statements violate basic ethical standards and may have serious legal action. We want to reassure our employees, partners, and all concerned parties that the well-being of our staff, code of conduct, which requires all employees to demonstrate respect and professionalism towards colleagues at all levels, and the ethical values of our organization are our top priorities.
The matter has been reported to the Cyber Crime Unit, as social media has been used to tarnish the reputation of our staff and institution. A formal statement will be made with the CID. Additionally, we reserve the right to pursue legal action where necessary to protect Polytechnics Mauritius and its personnel’s reputation and interests.
We strongly encourage all employees to engage in open and constructive dialogue if they have concerns rather than resorting to harmful or unprofessional behaviour. You can use the said channel to address any issue fairly and confidentially.
