Révocation de l’Information and Communication Technologies (Registration of SIM) Regulations 2023

Le gouvernement a pris la décision d’arrêter le réenregistrement et l’enregistrement des cartes SIM le 27 décembre 2024.

La base de données des cartes enregistrée chez les opérateurs téléphoniques contenant les photos sera aussi détruites.

Cabinet has agreed that, henceforth, subscribers of SIM cards would no longer be required to register or re-register their SIM cards. The Information and Communication Technologies (Registration of SIM) (Revocation) Regulations 2024 were being promulgated to provide for:
(a) the revocation of the Information and Communication Technologies (Registration of SIM) Regulations 2023; and
(b) mobile operators to delete the database of photographs of all persons who had already registered their SIM Cards.
