Talent Lab, one of the leading HR management companies in Mauritius, is pleased to announce the upcoming 11th Edition of HR Café, in partnership with Nespresso. The event will take place on the 12th of April 2025 at The United Basalt Product LTD, Trianon, Quatre Bornes.
Since its launch in August 2021, HR Café has rapidly evolved into a vibrant platform for employers, business owners, HR enthusiasts, leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and forwardthinking individuals. It serves as a space for engaging discussions and debates on current people-related topics. Our goal is to promote knowledge exchange and encourage collaboration within the business community.
During our previous edition, we delved into the critical topic of “Digital Warriors vs. Legacy Leaders – Navigating the Intergenerational Divide”, where we examined the evolving workplace dynamics between technology-driven natives and longstanding professionals. This edition shed light on the challenges and opportunities that arise when different generations, with distinct mindsets and work styles, collaborate in today’s fast-changing business landscape. We discussed how organizations can bridge this divide and leverage the strengths of both digital innovation and traditional leadership wisdom to drive sustainable success.
Now, for the 11th edition, we will explore « Getting Results & Keeping People Happy: Balancing Work and Wellbeing in Organizations Today. » In an era of increasing workplace demands and evolving employee expectations, organizations must find the right balance between productivity and people’s well-being. This discussion will focus on strategies for fostering a high-performance culture while ensuring employee happiness, engagement, and overall well-being. We shall also understand why this is important for long-term organisational objectives as well as employee retention.
Talent Lab will welcome the Minister of Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Mohammed Reza Cassam Uteem, to the event. His attendance highlights the national importance of conversations surrounding workplace well-being, sustainable leadership, and inclusive growth.
The panel will consist of five esteemed experts, meticulously chosen for their practical knowledge and proficiency within their specific areas of business. Each panellist offers distinctive perspective on the strategic initiatives implemented within their organizations and will impart their valuable insights on the event’s theme.
The panellists are:
• Nurveen Ratty, Founder Member, Rotary Club of Helvetia Happiness
• Sandra Matooreah, HR Lead-Employee Engagement & Wellness, UBP Group
• Kannenn Packiry Poullé, Group Chief Human Resources Executive, CIM Finance
• Swarna Gujadhur, Business Development & Programs Specialist, Turbine
• Charles Crowl, Organisational Coach, Thivex Talent Development
Beyond the session, participants will have the opportunity to network and engage in further discussions in a relaxed setting around a warm cup of Nespresso coffee. The post-event gathering fosters meaningful connections and provides a platform for ongoing dialogue on the themes explored during the session.
Since its beginning, HR Café has taken place around extraordinary coffee experiences provided to all members and guests by our coffee partner, Scott & Co Ltd, the exclusive distributor of Nespresso in Mauritius. This partnership reinforces HR Café’s commitment to delivering high quality in the spirit of conviviality.
