Affluence à la State House

Pour la Journée internationale des monuments et sites (18 avril), le National Heritage Fund a ouvert 19 sites mauriciens au public les 19 et 20 avril 2025, afin de sensibiliser à l’importance du patrimoine et d’encourager sa préservation.

Le président de la République, Dharambeer Gokhool a accueilli des visiteurs à la State House et a mis en avant l’objectif de cette journée : la sensibilisation à la préservation du patrimoine. La State House est ouverte deux jours avec des expositions et un jardin accessible.

Il a émis le souhait d’une présidence proche du peuple et prévoit d’autres visites, notamment pendant les vacances scolaires.

M. Lalande de National Heritage Fund a insisté sur la valeur historique de la State House et la nécessité de protéger tous les sites pour les générations futures, afin de maintenir une forte identité nationale.

In commemoration of the International Day for Monuments and Sites (April 18th), the National Heritage Fund proudly opened the doors of 19 Mauritian heritage sites to the public on April 19th and 20th, 2025. This initiative served to ignite a deeper understanding of our heritage’s profound importance and to inspire a collective commitment to its preservation.

His Excellency, President Dharambeer Gokhool, personally welcomed visitors to the State House, underscoring the day’s core mission: fostering widespread awareness of heritage preservation. For two days, the State House became a vibrant hub, featuring captivating exhibitions and offering access to its stunning gardens.

Driven by a desire for a presidency connected to the people, President Gokhool envisions further opportunities for public engagement, with plans for additional visits, particularly during school holidays.

Mr. Lalande of the National Heritage Fund passionately emphasized the State House’s invaluable historical significance and stressed the critical need to safeguard all heritage sites.
