The III International Forum of Journalists from Russia and Africa, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, took place on April 29, 2025, at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Organized by the Russian-African Club of Lomonosov Moscow State University and partners, the forum featured welcoming remarks from Elena Vartanova, Alexander Berdnikov, Louis Gouend, Timur Shafir, and Timbkieta Daniel Sawadogo.

African embassy representatives, including Cecile Heppes, Vivalda Candida Marques Miguel, Conceição Joaquim Paulo, Sonia Farahnaz Benmaza, and Mursi Awad Mursi Taha, also attended.

The forum addressed topics such as media cooperation, historical memory, and countering information terrorism. Speakers emphasized the importance of truthful information, supporting Russian media in Africa, and honoring forgotten heroes. Proposals included establishing a Heroes of Africa Square in Moscow and creating an African School of Preventive Public Diplomacy. Participants also honored fallen war correspondents with a moment of silence.
