The Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security invites applications from planters interested to embark on the production of seeds of cucumber and squash commonly known as the Quality Declared Seed (QDS) Programme.
Interested planters should be registered with the Small Farmers Welfare Fund.
Upon selection, they will be required to sign a Contract Agreement with the Agricultural Services of the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security and will have to comply with the cucumber and squash seed production protocol set up for the QDS Programme.
The cucumber and squash produced under the QDS Programme will be subject to quality control measures to ensure conformity with the minimum standards set for seed production and will be purchased by the Ministry for processing as seeds.
Expressions of interest should be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Seed Production under the QDS Programme” to the Senior Chief Executive of Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security at the address given below at latest by 24 July 2023.
