Perodua launches the 2023 Axia in Mauritius

The 2023 Axia redefines the compact hatchback segment with its revolutionary design and technology. Unlike previous generations, Perodua has retained the iconic Axia name, despite the car being a completely different model. At the core of this transformation lies the adoption of the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA), the latest technology developed in collaboration with Perodua’s Japanese technical partner. The new platform enables the Axia to showcase a more extensive and spacious exterior and interior. 2023 Axia has a roomier and more ergonomic cabin without compromising the agility and maneuverability of a compact hatchback. Under the hood, the new Axia retains the renowned Japanese 1KR VVTi engine it now comes paired with a more modern and smoother CVT gearbox, enhancing overall performance.

The 2023 Axia will be offered in three trims: G, X and SE, each packed with a host of impressive features. These include Auto lighting LED Headlamps, 2 Front Airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, Door handle sensing keyless entry, push start button, Reverse sensors, and 14-inch Alloy Wheels, among others.

The new Axia starts at Rs. 699,000 for the automatic transmission.
