The Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased by 0.1 point or 0.1% from 131.6 in September 2023 to 131.5 in October 2023.
Year-on-year (Y-o-y) inflation worked out to 4.6% in October 2023, compared to 11.9% in October 2022. Headline inflation for the 12-months ending October 2023 worked out to 8.4%, compared to 9.9% for the 12-months ending October 2022.
Y-o-y CORE1 inflation stood at 3.2% in October 2023, compared to 10.0% in October 2022 while, y-o-y CORE2 inflation worked out to 4.0% in October 2023, compared to 7.5% in October 2022.
CORE1 inflation for the 12-months ending October 2023 stood at 6.3%, compared to 8.5% in October 2022. Similarly, CORE2 inflation for the 12-months ending October 2023 worked out to 5.8%, compared to 7.0 in October 2022.
