Weather outlook for Saturday 11:
Cloudy this afternoon and in the evening with showers. The showers will be moderate to locally heavy at times with thunderstorms, becoming less frequent tonight.
Wind will be light and variable, gusting in thundery showers.
Sea will be moderate beyond the reefs to locally rough in showers.
Weather outlook for Sunday:
On Sunday morning, remnant clouds associated to the frontal system will cause a rainy weather over Mauritius.
A gradual improvement in weather is expected during the day.
Wind South-Easterly 20 km/h.
Sea will become rough beyond the reefs with South Westerly swells.
Ventures in the open seas are not advised.
Precautions:
In case of heavy thundery showers, the public is advised to:
1. remain in safe places and avoid open areas, hikings, sea ventures and sheltering under trees.
2. avoid places prone to water accumulation.
3. be very cautious on the roads due to reduced visibility resulting from heavy rains and fog patches.
